A strong first-half performance has secured an 18-6 win for Hull FC against Leeds Rhinos in the Super League this evening.
The home side dominated the first half, with tries from Joe Westerman, Ben Crooks and Danny Houghton helping Hull to an 18-0 advantage by half time.
Leeds lost some key players to injury, with Kallum Watkins sustaining a suspected ankle ligament injury, and Danny McGuire feared to have picked up a leg fracture.
Rhinos fought hard at the start of the second half, but had little luck pushing towards the Hull try line, until Brett Delaney managed to cross the whitewash, injuring himself in the process.
The visitors applied more pressure in the final seconds, but a Kevin Sinfield chip forward fell into Hull hands, allowing the hosts to secure the win.
The result moves Hull above Leeds in the Super League table.
