Hull FC have won their Super League elimination playoff against Catalans Dragons.
After a difficult first 30 minutes, Thomas Bosc kicked the opening points of the game for the Perpignan side.
However, the hosts claimed the lead just before the break through a Jamie Shaul try, as the fullback sprinted through the Catalans defence to cross the whitewash.
The visitors pressed hard for a try of their own after the break, but elected to go for the posts when awarded another penalty, allowing Bosc to reduce the Hull advantage to just two points.
Hull increased the tempo, resulting in Gareth Ellis forcing his way over for his first try of the season, giving the home side a 10-point lead with just over 10 minutes to play.
The Dragons pressed hard to get back into the game late on as Steven Menzies crossed the line, but the television referee ruled the score out, giving Hull the win.
