Leeds Rhinos coach Brian McDermott has praised his side for their collective performance following Friday's win over St Helens in the Super League.
The Rhinos moved six points clear at the top of the table last night as they thrashed the champions 41-16 at Langtree Park.
Despite admitting that his players were forced back in the second half, McDermott is pleased by how they battled through.
"We're not looking behind us, we're looking forward and trying to get as many points as we can," he told BBC Sport. "I think everyone would say there's a bit more improvement in us.
"Collectively we were very good. It was a great team performance. I didn't think we were in as much control of the game as the scoreline indicated at half time. We still had some work to do in the second half. Saints pretty much threw everything at us. We found that second half unbelievably tough."
Leeds continue their Super League campaign on April 24 when they host Warrington Wolves.
