Brian McDermott has praised prop Jamie Peacock for his contribution in Leeds Rhinos' 22-14 victory over Castleford Tigers.
The 36-year-old played the full 80 minutes at the Probiz Coliseum after refusing to be substituted on three occasions.
"I attribute that win to three people," McDermott is quoted as saying by Sporting Life following the game. "JP takes all the bullets off everybody and [Danny McGuire] and Kev [Sinfield] just marshal the troops. Without them, I'm not sure how that game looks.
"I tried to take JP off three times but he just turned round and said 'no'. I need help. Does anybody dare tell JP to come off. I cringe when I tell young Chris Plume to go on and say to JP he's got to come off."
Leeds are currently top of the Aviva Premiership table.
