Warrington Wolves hooker Brad Dwyer insists that Leeds Rhinos is the perfect place to take the next step in his career after agreeing a two-year deal.

Brad Dwyer has insisted that he is relishing the chance to get going at "massive club" Leeds Rhinos after agreeing to join from Warrington Wolves.

The 24-year-old penned a two-year deal with the Loiners on Friday morning in time for the 2018 Super League campaign, bringing an end to his five years at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Dwyer, who made 21 league appearances for Wolves this term, believes that Leeds boss Brian McDermott is now the right man to get the best out of him over the next few years.

"It is a new challenge for me and something I am excited about," he told his new side's official website. "It is a massive club with a big following and I am looking forward to pulling on the jersey. It is a fresh start for me having been at Warrington for a long time.

"I had a chat with Brian McDermott and I am looking forward to being in a new environment. I am confident the move will freshen me up and get the best out of me performance wise. I have been lucky to play and train alongside some great hookers during my career with Michael Monaghan and Micky Higham previously and most recently Daryl Clark, who is one of the best around.

"The challenge of playing alongside Matt Parcell is something I am really looking forward to. He is having a great season and hopefully we can push each other at nine and get a good partnership going. I have been fortunate at Warrington to be part of some great occasions with the Wolves and that has made me hungry for more.

"There is no better place for me to start the next chapter of my career that than at Leeds and hopefully I can contribute to more success in the years ahead. I've had a chat with Richie Myler already, who I know well, and we are both excited to come to Leeds and contribute something to the team."

Dwyer has 85 Super League appearances to his name in all since making his Warrington breakthrough in 2012.
