Salford Red Devils owner Marwan Koukash has insisted that the club may wait until the end of the season before making a decision over the future of Iestyn Harris.
The 39-year-old, who guided the Red Devils to 10th last term, has not taken charge of a game for the last six weeks.
Reports surfaced last month suggesting that talks were underway over a severance deal with Harris, but Koukash has now revealed that he is in no rush to make a decision.
"There's no timescale. We could wait until the end of the season," he told BBC Sport. "We are in no rush to make that decision public and it's not for public consumption. We'll just wait and discuss it with Iestyn when he and us are ready and we'll move forward."
Salford beat Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in their opening Middle 8s fixture on Sunday afternoon.
