Salford Red Devils secured a comfortable 24-16 victory over the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in their Super League clash.
The visitors took the lead in the ninth minute through Theo Fages when he collected a pass from Greg Johnson and raided over the line for a score.
The Red Devils extended their advantage as Scott Taylor crashed over the line from close range to hand them a 12-0 lead after 15 minutes.
However, Wakefield got back into the match in the 19th minute through Daniel Smith as he weaved his way through a tackle and crossed the line.
Harrison Hansen put Salford back on top as he gathered the loose ball and went in for the score after Cory Paterson had charged down a kick.
In the second half, Ian Kirke gave the home side a glimmer of hope when he went over from close range, but their joy was short-lived as Hansen notched his second try of the game for the Red Devils.
Danny Kirmond kept Wakefield in the match with a score in the 61st minute to keep them within eight points of the visitors, but Salford managed to hold out for the win.
