Warrington Wolves record a 36-4 victory over Wakefield Wildcats.

Warrington Wolves have recorded a 36-4 victory over Wakefield Trinity Wildcats following a one-sided Super League affair on Sunday afternoon.

Warrington had to wait until the 12th minute to open the scoring with a try from Stefan Ratchford in an opening where both sides struggled to gain control of the ball.

Chris Bridge added a goal for the visitors moments later, however, to leave Warrington in control.

It appeared that Wakefield had limited the damage in the first period, but three tries from Ben Currie (2) and Gene Ormsby left the away side 18-0 ahead at the break.

Warrington further extended their lead in the early stages of the second half with a goal and a try from Bridge, but Lucas Walshaw got Wakefield onto the board after 54 minutes.

Warrington continued to dominate in the latter stages, however, with Ryan Atkins and Richie Myler both scoring tries to leave the away side with a 32-point lead.

Warrington remain in mid-table, but Wakefield have now won just four times in 14 games this season.
