Drew Mitchell has insisted that there are "far more important things" to focus on than becoming Australia's record try-scorer at the Rugby World Cup.
The back scored two tries in the win over Uruguay at the weekend to become the country's leading try-scorer at the World Cup, taking his total to 12.
The 31-year-old told reporters: "That's probably going to be something that I look back on. There are far more important things that we're trying to achieve as a group, and hopefully there's a bigger outcome.
"In terms of pressing claims, it's more about me crossing the line and finishing. There are a lot of things that [coach Michael] Cheika and the selectors and the coaches will look at, about things off the ball.
"I thought the boys played really well on Wednesday against Fiji. They set a platform and we want to make sure we at least maintain it and take it further."
Mitchell needs just three more tries to equal the record set by New Zealand's Jonah Lomu.
