Bath Rugby have confirmed that Toby Booth has agreed to join the club during the summer.
The current London Irish head coach will leave his role at the Madejski Stadium to become an assistant to new Bath boss Gary Gold.
Discussing his switch, Booth admitted that he felt the time was right for him to embark on a new challenge.
"Bath is a great club, with clear goals and targets and know where they want to be. I'm really keen to start working with the squad." Booth told the club's official website.
"I have enjoyed all my coaching roles, but do feel now is the right time to move on to another club and challenge."
Booth took charge of Irish in 2008.
