Bath director of rugby Gary Gold has revealed that he is "astonished" by his side's dramatic defeat at London Welsh in the Aviva Premiership on Sunday.
Nick Scott intercepted Stephen Donald's pass in the dying moments before running 70 metres to touch down and earn the hosts a 16-9 win at the Kassam Stadium.
"I'm astonished, it was a rush of blood and a ridiculous pass," said Gold. "We had worked so hard to get into that position as for 79 minutes we had been effective at holding onto the ball.
"We should have retained possession and, if needs be, go back into the pocket and drop a goal."
Bath's fourth league defeat of the season has left them in sixth place in the table.
