Bath director of rugby Gary Gold has revealed that he was proud of his side's performance in Friday's Aviva Premiership win at Newcastle Falcons.
The West Country outfit got their campaign off to a positive start as they battled tough conditions to come through 21-0 at Kingston Park.
"The Falcons were very competitive, particularly on the floor and at the breakdown and we showed a lot of good discipline to stay in there," Gold is quoted as saying by the league's official website.
"We used the conditions to our advantage in the second half and I'm very proud. We wanted to play with ball in hand, we tried to play an attacking brand but it was very difficult out there."
Bath return to action next Saturday when they host old rivals Leicester Tigers at the Recreation Ground.
