Bayonne secured a bonus-point win in the Amlin Challenge Cup this evening, beating Viadana 63-7.
It did not take the home side long to open up a commanding lead, as Guillaume Bernad, Guillaume Rouet and Sam Gerber all found the try line inside the opening 20 minutes.
The Italian side rarely looked threatening in Bayonne territory, securing their only points of the match from a penalty try late in the first half.
The French outfit barely took their foot off the gas after the break, with Rouet, Gerber and Manu Ahotaeiloa all finishing the game with two tries, while Stephen Brett was clinical with the boot, converting all nine of the team's tries.
The result moves Bayonne to the top of the Pool 4 table, but London Wasps have a game in hand.
