Bordeaux Begles have eased to a 26-3 win over London Welsh in the European Rugby Challenge Cup this evening.
Chances remained limited in the first half, but the home side made the most of a numerical advantage when James Lewis was sent to the sin bin, allowing Clement Maynadier and Charles Brousse to find the line.
Tristan Roberts kept Welsh in contention though, kicking a penalty just before the half-hour mark, scoring the Aviva Premiership side's only points of the game.
Bordeaux were reduced to 14 men themselves at the start of the second half after a Paulin Riva error in the scrum, but the visitors were unable to capitalise.
Metuisela Talebula Maijaina put the result beyond doubt with just over 10 minutes to go, racing over for a third for the French club before Bertrand Guiry scored their fourth shortly before full time.
