Cardiff Blues have eased to a 37-14 win over Grenoble in their first appearance in this year's European Rugby Challenge Cup at Cardiff Arms Park.
Rhys Patchell and Lloyd Williams both scored tries inside the opening 15 minutes to help the hosts to an early lead, but a couple of penalties from James Hart kept Grenoble in contention at the break.
Sam Warburton got Cardiff off to a strong start after the restart when a quick break from Gareth Davies resulted in a try for the Wales captain.
Richard Smith and Josh Turnbull added to the Blues' score later in the half to put the win beyond doubt for the Welsh club.
Hart added a third penalty for the visitors before Louis Marrou added a consolation try just three minutes before full time, but it was not enough for the French side to avoid a heavy defeat.
