Wasps opened their account in the European Rugby Champions Cup with a 32-17 win away to Castre this afternoon.
Tries from Rob Miller and Nathan Hughes inside 13 minutes, either side of a Mathieu Bonello response from the hosts, gave the visitors an early 12-7 lead.
Andy Goode slotted a penalty to extend that advantage, but a converted try from Remi Lamerat on 34 minutes gave the Aviva Premiership side something to think about during the break.
Julien Domora then added a penalty to give Castres a slender two-point lead, but Wasps came back with a penalty try on 71 minutes, before Sailosi Tagicakibau touched down shortly before the end to seal their maiden European win this season.
