Cavalieri Prato have earned a 30-19 victory over Lusitanos XV as the sides met in the European Challenge Cup this evening.
Prato went ahead in the early stages when Filippo Vezzosi and Toby Browne scored penalty goals, before Lusitanos fought back through a try from Fragoso Mendes to leave the scores at 7-6.
Prato responded with a penalty try, while Giacomo Bernini scored another try in the 40th minute to earn his side an 18-7 lead at half time.
After the break, Prato inched further in front as Gabriele Cicchinelli added their third try of the evening as soon as proceedings got back underway.
A fourth was then added by Bernini in the 55th minute, which ensured that two oppositional tries from Goncalo Foro and Antonio Salgueiro were still not enough for Lusitanos to escape defeat.
