Toulon have been crowned Heineken Cup champions for the first time after a comeback victory against Clermont Auvergne in Dublin.
Jonny Wilkinson kicked over 11 points for Toulon in Dublin as they rallied from behind to earn a narrow 16-15 triumph over their fellow French side.
Morgan Parra kicked over an early penalty for Clermont before Wilkinson replied with a kick of his own as the two sides went in level at the end of a cagey first half.
The opening try of the match came two minutes after the restart as Napolioni Nalaga powered over the line. However, Parra failed to add the extras.
A second Wilkinson penalty got Toulon closer to their opponents, but Brock James went over for Clermont minutes later before Parra's conversion gave them a 15-6 advantage with 30 minutes to play.
Wilkinson then kicked over again on the hour mark to reduce Toulon's deficit to six points.
Toulon got themselves in front for the first time in the match five minutes later when Delon Armitage outpaced James to go over. Wilkinson added the extras to put his side ahead by a single point.
