Edinburgh coach Michael Bradley has admitted that he was disappointed with his side's approach during Friday's Heineken Cup defeat to Racing Metro.
The Scottish club lost their fourth consecutive match in Pool 1 as they went down 15-3 in ferocious conditions at Murrayfield.
"Some of our management of the game, particularly in the early part of the first half, was not good," Bradley told Sky Sports News.
"In conditions like that, the key issue is that you play in the right areas. More than that, I think we needed to manage the match better than we did. It's a lesson for us really, and a harsh lesson at that."
Edinburgh return to domestic action next Friday when they travel to Glasgow Warriors.
