England Sevens head coach Simon Amor has admitted that it is "hugely disappointing" to have been knocked out of the rugby sevens competition at the Commonwealth Games in the quarter-finals.
The English side, who were the runners-up at the world championships last year, were beaten 15-14 by Samoa earlier today, ending their hopes of a medal in Glasgow.
Amor told Sports Mole: "We came here with the mission of winning it and we knew that if we played to our potential we could do that, so of course it is hugely disappointing but that's the way sevens goes.
"We will take ourselves away, switch off a bit and then put in a performance. We still have a lot to play for, the pride of the shirt and a couple of guys are playing in the sevens shirt for the last time."
Wales and Scotland were also knocked out in the last eight.
