England head coach Stuart Lancaster has revealed that Brad Barritt is a fitness doubt for next weekend's meeting with France.
The 29-year-old is struggling with a calf injury ahead of the second of back-to-back Rugby World Cup warm-up matches against Les Blues.
Lancaster admits that he would like more time to make a decision over his final squad selection for the showpiece tournament, with Luther Burrell, Billy Twelvetrees, Sam Burgess and Henry Slade among those competing for a finals berth.
"It would be nice to have a few more warm-up games before we make the decision but we don't," the Red Rose boss is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
"Selection will be difficult in that regard because I'm aware other guys need to play as well. It's that position in particular that is taking up most of the time in selection.
"There are centres others than Burgess and Slade who we need to consider as well - there are three centres who haven't played. Getting that balance right of who plays in this particular game will lead into final selection for the World Cup."
England beat France 19-14 in their opening World Cup warm-up match on Saturday evening.
