Andy Farrell has said that Billy Twelvetrees has earned his recall to the England team for their Autumn International against Australia this weekend.
The Gloucester centre replaces the backs coach's son Owen Farrell in the starting lineup for the match at Twickenham tomorrow afternoon.
Farrell told Sky Sports News: "Billy's been a part of this group for a good few years now and he's had a few things to go back to Gloucester and work on and he's certainly done that.
"He's an integral part of what we're doing with the England set-up, he knows our system inside out. He's been very positive in the last couple of weeks when he's not been selected and he deserves his chance.
"Obviously [Owen Farrell is] disappointed, like anyone who gets a little bit demoted, but team comes first and he's dusted himself down towards the end of the week and there was a massive team focus throughout the squad of making sure that everyone puts their best performance in for England this weekend."
England picked up their first win of the Autumn with a 28-9 victory over Samoa last weekend.
