George Ford has acknowledged that England must up their game if they are to overcome Australia in their final Autumn International next weekend.
Stuart Lancaster's side managed to successfully see off Samoa 28-9 at Twickenham on Saturday to record their first win in five outings.
With the 2015 World Cup now on the horizon, Ford admits that England must cut out silly mistakes in order to compete with the best.
"Some of the mistakes we made will definitely be punished by the Australians next week, because that's where they're brilliant, off the unstructured ball," the fly-half told reporters.
"We've got to up it again 15, 20 per cent. I think we're going to have to learn a little bit to play smarter when it's wet weather as well."
Next week's clash at Twickenham gets underway at 2.30pm and can be followed on Sports Mole.
