England coach Stuart Lancaster has admitted that it is a big disappointment to be without the injured Manu Tuilagi for next month's Autumn Internationals.
The Leicester Tigers centre was recently ruled out of action "for a few weeks" after sustaining a groin problem during his club's European win over Ulster.
Bath's Jonathan Joseph has been called into the England squad in place of Tuilagi, but Lancaster is still keen for the 23-year-old to spend time around the camp.
"It is obviously disappointing to lose Manu but Jonathan Joseph has been in great form and deserves this chance," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"We're keen to still have Manu around the squad. Our medics will continue to work closely with Leicester's and ensure that Manu is supported in his rehabilitation from his injury."
England play their first Autumn International on November 8 when they host world champions New Zealand.
