Stuart Lancaster has hailed Mike Brown's performance in England's Rugby World Cup opening fixture against Fiji.
The 30-year-old full-back, who scored two tries in the 35-11 victory, came in for praise from England's coach.
"I thought Browny was excellent. His ability to beat the first defender is a great trait and he inspires the team - he plays with such courage, pace and power," Lancaster told reporters following the game.
"He lifted the team by the scruff of the neck in the second half."
Lancaster, who admitted his relief at securing a bonus-point win over Fiji, sees his side take on Wales at Twickenham on September 26.
