England coach Stuart Lancaster has praised his team's patience during Saturday's 20-13 victory over Australia.
The hosts came from behind at Twickenham Stadium as tries from captain Chris Robshaw and Owen Farrell saw them defeat the Wallabies.
"We stayed patient, didn't chase the scoreboard, built pressure and deserved the win," Lancaster told BBC Sport.
"Any lapses put you under pressure and good sides capitalise on them so we'll have to look at that, but overall they worked hard for each other and they worked hard for the shirt."
England play the second of three Autumn Internationals next Saturday when they entertain Argentina.
