England coach Stuart Lancaster has called up London Irish hooker David Paice and Harlequins lock George Robson as cover for the autumn internationals.
Lancaster moved quickly after Northampton Saints pair Dylan Hartley and Courtney Lawes both suffered knee injuries in Saturday's defeat to Saracens.
Paice will provide back-up to Leicester Tigers' Tom Youngs, who was the only hooker in the senior squad before today's announcement.
England have a number of injury worries after a busy weekend of Aviva Premiership action with Chris Robshaw and Jonathan Joseph both suffering knocks in Quins' thrilling victory over London Irish earlier today.
A busy autumn of international action for England begins on Saturday, November 10 with a Twickenham test against Fiji before games against Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
