Bath coach Mike Ford has questioned Stuart Lancaster's suitability for the England job, believing that the 45-year-old 'does not want the job enough'.
Lancaster's position is reportedly in jeopardy after the hosts' group-stage exit at the Rugby World Cup, which included defeats to Wales and Australia.
Ford told BBC Sport: "The interview I saw after the [Australia] game, he was a broken man.
"The criticism and scrutiny you get as an England coach is very intense. You've got to want it 100 percent and love coaching 100 percent and be hard-skinned. It does certain things to you, and I don't know if he wants it."
Ford spent five years as England's defence coach before taking up his role with Bath.
