Jonathan Joseph insists that England have to stick to their attacking gameplan despite their loss to Ireland.

England and Bath centre Jonathan Joseph has insisted that England have to carry on attacking, despite falling short against Ireland last week.

England's Six Nations hopes took a hit after Ireland nullified their running threat to beat them 19-9 away in Dublin.

"I love the way we play here at England," Joseph, who has been one of his country's star players so far, told ESPN. "We look to play and break down defences with our attacking shape.

"Ultimately that's where I feel I get the most out of myself as a player. I like to have my hands on the ball, exploit space and move defenders around. That's why I play rugby.

"Definitely as a team we could have performed a lot better: we know the areas we need to improve, the boys are just excited about the Scotland challenge."

England will be looking to improve as they face bottom-of-the-table Scotland at Twickenham on March 14.
