Stuart Lancaster insists that inexperience will not be a damaging factor when England face Wales in their Six Nations decider in Cardiff.

Stuart Lancaster has insisted that his young group of England players will not be intimidated when they face Wales in their Grand Slam showdown on Saturday.

England travel to Cardiff knowing that a win will see them crowned Six Nations champions and complete a clean sweep of victories in this year's tournament.

None of Lancaster's squad is over the age of 30 and only one, Toby Flood, has more than 50 international caps to his name.

However, the England coach is confident that his side's chances will not be damaged by a lack of big-game experience.

"There are a lot of players who haven't been to Cardiff before and played in the Millennium Stadium," Lancaster told Sky Sports News.

"We've still got a pretty inexperienced group in that regard but what we have is a strong self-belief and a strong sense of character.

"We need to make sure we give the players a good plan this week to beat the Welsh because it's a big old game and it was always probably destined in the stars."

England have not claimed a Six Nations Grand Slam since their World Cup-winning year of 2003.
