Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter has admitted that his side deserved their surprise defeat to Newcastle Falcons on Sunday.
The Falcons earned their first win in the Aviva Premiership in almost a year as they saw off the Chiefs 29-24 at Kingston Park.
Baxter has now urged his players to learn from the result and work hard to improve themselves in training this week.
"I am a big one for sitting in press conferences when we beat teams and saying rugby union is a game where you tend to get what you deserve," he is quoted as saying by the club's official website.
"I'm not going to take too much away from [Newcastle], but it's up to our guys to regroup this week, take this result on the chin, and look to bounce back in what we know will be another very tough Premiership game against London Irish."
Exeter make the trip to London Irish on Saturday.
