Exeter Chiefs have ended their four-game losing run in the Aviva Premiership with a 46-17 victory at home to Newcastle Falcons.
The hosts were rampant during the first half, running in four tries to put them in control of the contest.
Jack Nowell, Henry Slade, Thomas Waldrom and a penalty try all made sure that the Chiefs were on course for the win, while Slade added another 12 points with the boot before the break.
Tom Catterick kicked over a solitary penalty for Newcastle during the opening 40 minutes as the visitors struggled to inflict any damage on their opponents.
Catterick added the extras to Ruki Tipuna's try at the start of the second period, but converted scores from Phil Dollman and Gareth Steenson kept Exeter in pole position.
Newcastle had the final say when Catterick kicked over Will Welch's try in the dying moments, though it was not enough to stop the Falcons slipping to a fifth defeat in six league matches.
