Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend has admitted that too many errors cost his side during yesterday's 12-9 defeat against Toulouse in the European Champions Cup.
The hosts outfit were narrowly edged out in a try-less contest at the Scotstoun Stadium, with Finn Russell spurning two great chances to win them the match.
"The effort was there in a game that never really kicked off," Townsend told reporters. "However a mixture of the quality of the opposition, their excellent defence and our errors, particularly handling, left us just short."
Glasgow are now left to battle it out with Bath for second position in Pool 4, with a place in the next round of the competition up for grabs.
"We have to win the last two games to qualify - that is the challenge ahead," Townsend added. "And now we have to switch the focus quickly to the next league game."
Munster visit the Scotstoun Stadium next weekend.
