Gloucester Rugby have picked up their first win of this season's LV= Cup with a comfortable 20-3 victory at home to Newcastle Falcons.
Freddie Burns converted Martyn Thomas's early try before Rory Clegg got the visitors on the board with a penalty in the 19th minute.
However, Gloucester moved into a 10-3 lead at half time as Burns kicked over another three points for the hosts.
Burns was on target again early in the second half with a second penalty, and he added the extras to Mike Tindall's try on the hour mark as Gloucester closed out the win.
