Gloucester coach David Humphreys admits that he 'went through every emotion' during his side's dramatic win over Saracens.

Gloucester Rugby coach David Humphreys has admitted his relief after seeing his side record a last-gasp win over Saracens in the Aviva Premiership.

The West Country outfit looked on course for an eighth defeat of the season on Friday night before James Hook's penalty sealed them a 24-23 victory at Kingsholm Stadium.

However, their triumph was marred by the news that number eight Ben Morgan could be sidelined for a lengthy period with an ankle injury that he picked up in the second half.

"I went from one emotion to another at the end. I thought we had lost it and lost the bonus point and then we won it," Humphreys told BBC Sport. "But I think we were due a bit of luck and the one thing that people cannot question is this team has character. The fact that Hooky put over that kick does not just show the character of him but of the team."

Gloucester return to action on January 17 when they host Oyonnax Rugby in the European Challenge Cup.
