David Humphreys has praised his Gloucester Rugby side for showing "a huge amount of character" to overcome London Irish 21-9 at the Madejski Stadium this afternoon.
Second-half tries from Henry Purdy and Steve McColl saw Irish take control of the contest to arrest their recent slump in form.
Gloucester, who are still without key players away on international duty, are now up to eighth in the Aviva Premiership table.
"We dug deep and showed a huge amount of character to come away with four vital points," Huumphreys is quoted as saying by ESPN. "We are creating opportunities but we are not taking enough of them and are not showing sufficient precision.
"Every win is important as the middle positions [in the table] are very condensed. It's vital that we stay in touch and having our England players back next week will bring us huge momentum as we also want to do well in Europe."
Gloucester return to action next Sunday when they face Italian outfit Zebre.
