Harlequins director of rugby Conor O'Shea has predicted a "rollercoaster of a season" following Friday's 21-18 defeat at Bath in the Aviva Premiership.
The defending champions were undone by the boot of Stephen Donald at the Recreation Ground as they slumped to third loss of the campaign.
"It's going to be a rollercoaster of a season. We just have to stick to our guns the whole way through," O'Shea told Sky Sports News.
"The effort, the attitude of the boys was fantastic, right to the bitter end - but we have to look at ourselves."
Despite the defeat, Quins remain top of the table thanks to Worcester Warriors' win over Saracens.
