Ireland make two changes for crunch Six Nations clash against Scotland

Luke Fitzgerald and Cian Healy return to the Ireland starting lineup for this weekend's Six Nations finale against Scotland at Murrayfield.

Ireland head coach Josef Schmidt has made two changes to his starting lineup for the crucial Six Nations meeting against Scotland.

The current holders are still in strong contention to retain the championship should results go their way this weekend, the key to which being a victory of their own at Murrayfield.

Left wing Luke Fitzgerald and loosehead prop Cian Healy replace Simon Zebo and Jack McGrath in the side respectively, as Schmidt keeps alterations to a minimum following his side's defeat against Wales last time out.

That slender loss leaves the door open for Wales to claim their third title in four years, while England and France - who meet at Twickenham - can also finish top.

Meanwhile, Scotland named their side for Saturday's match earlier today, with Vern Cotter also opting to make two changes.

Ireland team to face Scotland: R Kearney; T Bowe, J Payne, R Henshaw, L Fitzgerald; J Sexton, C Murray; C Healy, R Best, M Ross, D Toner, P O'Connell, P O'Mahony, S O'Brien, J Heaslip

Replacements: S Cronin, J McGrath, M Moore, I Henderson, J Murphy, E Reddan, I Madigan, F Jones
