Ireland centre Brian O'Driscoll is delighted with the fairytale ending to his illustrious international career, having won the Six Nations for a second time.

Ireland centre Brian O'Driscoll has expressed his delight at having ended his illustrious international career by winning the Six Nations for a second time.

The Irish hung on in Paris to record a 22-20 victory over France this afternoon, clinching the title on points difference over England.

O'Driscoll had previously signalled his intention to retire at the end of the current season, making this afternoon's match his last in Irish colours, and he was pleased with the fairytale ending to his career.

"It feels great to be a two-time Six Nations winner. It's great to finish on a high in my last game in this magnificent jersey," the 35-year-old told BBC Sport.

"When I do hang it up on the hook inside, it'll be with very fond memories. I'm absolutely delighted.

"There's a huge Irish contingent here. I'm glad we gave them something to shout about."

O'Driscoll made 134 appearances for Ireland, scoring 46 tries and establishing himself as one of the greatest players in the country's history in the process.
