Leicester Tigers have beaten Aironi 33-6 to bounce back from defeat a week ago in the Heineken Cup at Welford Road this afternoon.
Tigers fly-half Billy Twelvetrees outscored opposite number Naas Olivier in the first half by three penalties to two – kicking his third in the final minutes - to send the home side in ahead at half time.
Following the break, Thomas Waldrom and Ben Woods crossed the line within five minutes of one another to extend Leicester's lead to 15 points following Twelvetrees's conversion.
Fullback Geordan Murphy added another try for the home side, just shy of the hour, before substitute George Ford added another – and converted it – to take a 27-point lead into the final minutes.
