South African Wessel Jooste's proposed move to Leicester Tigers has been delayed because of visa issues.
The back-row agreed terms with the club for a move from Bourgoin as cover for retirees Ben Woods and Craig Newby.
"Wessel has had his visa application turned down because he didn't quite fill out the information properly," Richard Cockerill told the Leicester Mercury.
"The application process is pretty arduous. He has re-applied for that though, and we are waiting for the results, which I am hoping we will receive soon."
Leicester have also announced the signing of Michael Noone from the Doncaster Knights.
