London Irish came back from a 17-point deficit to secure a 24-24 tie against Leicester Tigers at Welford Road this afternoon.
Toby Flood kicked his first of three penalties just shy of 15 minutes to put the home side ahead. However, Shontayne Hape responded almost instantly to send London Irish in front. Tom Homer's conversion extended the margin to four points, before Flood converted a Tigers penalty try to retake the lead.
The Leicester fly-half added a second and third penalty on either side of half time to put the home team up by nine.
Flood then kicked his fourth before the hour-mark, minutes before Horacio Agulla's score made it a 17-point deficit.
However, Homer converted a late Thompstone try and added a penalty to close the gap, before Matt Garvey added another that let Homer secure the late tie for the Irish.
