London Irish hooker David Paice has been handed a three-week ban after being sent off during his side's win over Grenoble in the European Challenge Cup.
Paice was shown a red card for allegedly striking an opposition player with his head at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.
The 31-year-old pleaded not guilty at an independent disciplinary hearing on Wednesday, but the referee's decision was upheld by the committee.
Paice's good conduct at the hearing saw the Australian-born forward have his suspension reduced by a week.
He will be available to play again on February 9 and is not allowed to appeal the ruling.
