London Welsh have avoided the threat of liquidation after a winding-up petition was dismissed by the High Court.
The rugby club - formed in 1885 - were in danger of going out of business due to financial struggles.
However, Mr Registrar Briggs scrapped the HMRC winding-up petition today after learning that the Championship club had paid their debts, according to PA.
In the closing stages of last season, it was rumoured that players had not been paid, but in recent reports it was claimed that a new investor was on the horizon.
The Exiles have suffered with money troubles before, having had a spell in administration seven years ago.
