London Welsh have replaced Justin Burnell with Rowland Phillips as the club's new head coach.
The Aviva Premiership's bottom-placed side have lost all 17 of their league matches this season.
Former Wales international Phillips has been promoted from his role as defence coach at the Kassam Stadium.
"I am very proud to be leading the coaching of this great club," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "It's been a very tough season in the Premiership, trying to play with a squad built on an uneven financial playing field. But the boys are determined to rescue something from this season."
London Welsh continue their Aviva Premiership campaign on March 29 when they host Bath.
