Tom Prydie scored a hat-trick of tries as Newport Gwent Dragons cruised to an emphatic 69-17 win over Bucharest Wolves in the European Rugby Challenge Cup this evening.
The full-back scored twice in the space of six minutes shortly before half time after the home side had already crossed the line four times.
He completed his hat-trick early in the second half, while Rhys Jones, Andrew Coombs and Hallam Amos were among the other names on the scoresheet.
The visitors grabbed a couple of tries in the closing stages, but it was too late for them to think about a comeback.
The weather conditions at Rodney Parade made kicking difficult, with just eight of the 14 tries scored by both sides being converted, while no penalties were successfully kicked.
The victory lifts Newport back to the top of Pool Three, while Bucharest remain bottom with no wins so far.
