Northampton Saints prop Paul Hill has revealed that he is relishing life at the club.
The 20-year-old joined the Saints from Yorkshire Carnegie four months ago, with coach Jim Mallinder describing him as a "tremendous prospect".
While admitting that pre-season training has been more rigorous that he is used to, Hill is enjoying being part of the Aviva Premiership club.
"I've settled in really well," he told Northampton's official website. "I'm really enjoying getting to know the lads and they've been really welcoming. It's been a good few weeks of pre-season.
"The move was about taking the next step in my rugby career and pushing myself as much as I can in a harsher environment.
"It's been a massive change in intensity. The lads around you are always driving standards and that's been one of the most positive things for me. I'm really happy so far."
Northampton get the new season underway with a trip to Worcester Warriors on October 16.
