Northampton Saints director of rugby Jim Mallinder has described his team's win in the Aviva Premiership final as a "fairytale".
The Saints got their hands on the trophy for the first time on Saturday as they beat Saracens 24-20 after extra time at Twickenham Stadium.
Alex Waller's try with just moments remaining saw Northampton come out on top following a thrilling contest between the two sides.
"To finish like that, I suppose it's fairytales," Mallinder told BBC Sport. "It's really, really nice to finish on the winning side.
"We showed similar sort of character in the semi-final against Leicester, down but never short of belief."
The triumph has seen Northampton secure a memorable double following their recent win over Bath in the Amlin Challenge Cup final.
