Saracens began the defence of their Aviva Premiership title with a 15-20 defeat to Wasps.
After each side scored early penalties, Wasps' winger Christian Wade went over for a try, which Nick Robinson converted.
Robinson, making his debut, then added a penalty to give the visitors a 13-9 half-time lead.
Two Charlie Hodgson penalties gave the reigning champions a glimmer of hope, but Tom Vandell's late try killed off the contest.
The defeat is Sarries' first under director of rugby Mark McCall.
