Saracens record a 34-24 victory over Bath in an entertaining Aviva Premiership clash at the Allianz Park.

Saracens survived a late flurry from Bath to record a 34-24 victory an entertaining Aviva Premiership clash at Allianz Park this afternoon.

Tom Homer recorded the first points of the game, scoring a penalty in the 11th minute, given after Saracens were off their feet at the breakdown.

Charlie Hodgson levelled the scores midway through the first half with a penalty of his own, and the hosts were ahead when Chris Wyles picked up Jamie George's pass and crossed over just two minutes later.

Sarries ended the first half 11-3 up after Alex Goode kicked over, and the 26-year-old secured another three points from the boot three minutes after the restart.

George put his side further ahead after bundling over in the 44th minute to finish off a sweeping team try, but Bath hit back immediately with Semesa Rokoduguni crossing over at the other end.

In a flurry of action, Chris Ashton was next to secure five points for the hosts before Goode's added the conversion and, a few minutes later, another penalty.

With just 10 minutes later to play, the visitors ran in two quickfire tries through Olly Woodburn and Rokoduguni to make things tense for Saracens.

However, Mark McCall's charges were able to edge themselves back into a double-figure lead through Goode's penalty four minutes before time, and comfortably saw the game out in the latter stages.
